I just got the Grackle Debacle poster back from the Document Restorer's and the Framer's! It's done! I took some pictures with my cell phone camera of the job.
The Document Restorer killed it! The poster looks almost new! It's soooo sweet! This poster has been De-acidified, cleaned and had some missing parts put back; the poster was trimmed around the edges by somebody.
These are the rarest 13th Floor Elevators, Vulcan Gas Company, posters for a variety of reasons including the volatility of the newsprint paper used, the fact that people didn't value these "cheap" 'Vulcans and more. These are rare as hen's teeth!
Esprit Decor in Phoenix used a distressed wood frame, tan matting, and more distressed wood to go around the poster under the glass. The tan matting has a black core and the Framer cut a cool design in the matting! He killed it! This is a real Trophy Piece!
I will shoot another video of the finished piece and add it to this post! Below is a vid of the original poster prior to being restored and framed.
