Here's what Promoter Jim Dobies says about this on his Facebook page about the event:

In the second in a series of benefit concerts for Austin music legend George Kinney, some of the finest pickers and singers from around Texas will join together to play some great music for a great cause. In addition to Kinney and the New Riders of the Golden Dawn, the bill features Opie Hendrix and The Texas Tallboys, Carrie Ann Buchanan, Steve Garrett, Matthew Hebert of Haunt, and James Henry of the Shadowcasters. Other specia...l guests to be announced.

Admission is free, with donations greatly appreciated. Show starts at High Noon. Barbecue downstairs, live music upstairs.

Kinney was the leader of the Austin psychedelic band The Golden Dawn, whose 1968 album Power Plant is recognized as a classic of the genre. The band were friends and labelmates of The 13th Floor Elevators. He has continued to make music, releasing "After the Fall" in 1999 and "Texas Medicine" in 2006. He was featured in the 2007 documentary "Dirt Road to Psychedelia: Austin, Texas During the 1960s."

Kinney appears on the latest "Texas Tyme Machine" podcast to tell “The Golden Dawn Story": http://garagepunk.ning.com/profiles/blogs/mal-thursdays-texas-tyme-4
